A 2007–2008 Season Preview Concert

Sunday, April 22, 2007 at 7pm

PONCHO Concert Hall, Cornish College of the Arts

A sampler of favorite works from the SCP repertoire—past, present and future— with lively commentary provided by SCP musicians and artistic advisor Elena Dubinets.

This fascinating and diverse program highlights the scope of SCP’s artistic focus. Expect to hear two favorite works from our Baltic and Caucasian friends, a colorful miniature from one of China’s most articulate composers, a gorgeous duo from Japan’s revered master, and an introduction to one of America’s most electric young stars. Plus, an encore of Misha’s Chaplinesque rendition of Michel van der Aa’s Memo.

Joining us for this concert will be Oksana Ezhokina, one of SCP’s favorite pianists, with her amazing technique and boundless energy. Also prepare to enjoy a performance by one of Seattle’s most accomplished guitarists, Michael Partington.

Be the first to find out about our exciting 2007–2008 concert season! Coming soon to a recital hall near you: Icebreaker IV; collaborations with On the Boards, Seattle Symphony and Town Hall; and the premiere visit to Seattle by one of Europe’s most well known and celebrated composers. SCP expects the 2007–08 season to be our best yet.
